TheÂ Chelmsford Marathon course is a single lapped 26.2 mile course classified as fairly flat with some undulations. The course comprises of road running and tarmac paths.
The stunning course will start outside The Shire Hall in Chelmsford City Centre.
From there runners will start the 26.2 mile course along the High Street through to Chelmer Village, returning through the City Centre, Bell Meadow and Central Park. On leaving the parks runners will pass through Writtle College onto the village of Roxwell and Willingale upon their return to the finish line in Central Park.

There will be two road closures in place on the day. The first is New London Road in Chelmsford City Centre which will be closed from 9-10am. The second is Lordship Road in Writtle which will be closed from 9am-5pm. Although we will open it as soon as it is safe to do so when all runners have passed.
