How will your money raised at Chelmsford Marathon make a difference to our families lives?
Â£30Â – ONE SESSION OF COUNSELLING and EMOTIONAL SUPPORT for a young adult or their family – our support is tailored to the individual needs of the young adult and their family members and offered during the young personâ€™s life and afterwards.
Â£45Â – for a MUSIC THERAPY SESSION encouraging a young adult to express their feelings and emotions by listening or joining in with singing, playing instruments or writing music.
Â£135Â – THREE HOURS OF SPECIALIST PALLIATIVE CARE provided by a clinical nurse specialist who will give expert care, advice and support to help a young adult with a life limiting condition through the transition from childrenâ€™s services to adult services and then continue to provide specialist palliative and end of life care and support.
Â£180Â â€“ for a FULL DAYâ€™S RESPITE CARE provided in the young personâ€™s own home by a healthcare assistant specially trained in meeting the needs of a young adult with a life limiting condition.
Â£1,250Â â€“ for a YOUNG ADULT GROUP day that allows young adults some time away from carers to socialise with people their own age, with lots of activities on offer, and expert care and support on hand. It also allows parents and carers some quality time together.
Â£2,380Â – pays for one day of The Jâ€™s at Home respite, palliative and end of life care services for young adults across the county of Essex with life limiting and life threatening conditions.
